Dinner With a Designer

Park by Sidewalk Citizen is a one-of-a-kind, internationally and nationally  award-winning restaurant where every design element was deliberately considered to connect the surrounding park, the owners’ commitment to sustainability, the vision of a community gathering place, and the food it serves. Conceived in collaboration with Studio North, the space blurs the boundaries between urban restaurant, urban oasis and public living room.

The evening will explore the vision behind one of Calgary’s most distinctive dining spaces and the role thoughtful hospitality design plays in shaping how people gather, linger, and share meals together.

From concept to final detail, discover how architecture, materiality, and cuisine were designed as a unified experience, while enjoying a specially curated dinner served within the space itself.

Accessibility Note: At the south end of Central Memorial Park, neighbouring the Sheldon M. Chumir Health Centre and the Calgary Public Library, follow the sidewalk southeast of the park. The venue is also a 13-minute walk from the 3rd Street LRT Station in Downtown Calgary. Street parking is limited. Access to the venue is barrier free, although there are no automatic doors and space between tables may be tight for those using mobility devices.
