Before It Becomes Home

About This Event

Join us as a building stands at the threshold between construction and becoming home.

Before It Becomes Home is an immersive projection experience at The Goodweather, a new housing development designed by Studio North. As the August sun sets, the building’s facade will transform into a living canvas, revealing fragments of its making along glimpses of its future.

The Goodweather is a missing middle housing project introducing eight new rental homes to Calgary’s Sunnyside neighbourhood. Studio North, Part + Parcel, and Arch House operate as one integrated team across design, development, and delivery. The project focuses on housing at a human scale, with compact, efficient homes, individual entries, and strong connections to the outdoors, while embracing a characterful, slightly playful approach rooted in one of Calgary’s oldest inner-city neighbourhoods.

The experience reveals the building as it is encountered in the city: in fragments, in motion, and as part of everyday life.
